Overview
The Italians know a thing or two about style, and the Maserin 375 AM5 Gentleman proves it! Combining modern construction with classic Italian flair, this knife is sure to impress.
Dyed burl wood onlays on the AM5 run the full length of the frame and perfectly set off the carbon fiber. Beveling along the edges of the handle scales reveal the lower texture of the carbon, providing three contrasting patterns to feast your eyes on while holding the knife.
The Wharncliffe flat-ground blade constructed of M390 powder metallurgy steel. Not only does it look great, but this blade is made to perform. The fine edge is acutely sharp, and a small choil at the heel makes keeping the entire edge up to snuff. Some jimping near the thumb adds a little traction to the equation, and a full-length swedge runs all the way to the fine point, increasing the piercing qualifications of the knife while making it a more efficient slicer. Thank the one-hand operable liner lock for holding the blade open.
The subtle flipper tab for opening the blade does not detract from the streamlined profile of the AM5. Protruding only slightly from the top of the knife, it disappears completely when opened. The AM5 includes a tip-up, right carry titanium pocket clip.
Maserin began production in 1960 in Maniago, Italy. Through its constant growth, they have been able to maintain and expand the tradition of excellence that helped Maniago be recognized as Italy’s "City of Knives".
