We Knife Company has been around the game for a long time but has only recently begun manufacturing their own designs. They started by manufacturing OEM designs for other companies and have gained a reputation in the industry as a name you can rely on. The 901 Deacon is modeled after the 703 Flipper but in a distinctly more compact size and totally different theater of use. The Deacon shines as an EDC knife, perfectly sized to disappear in the pocket until its number is called. It also features a construction method that we can only describe as premium. The handle features a titanium frame with integral bolsters... nothing new, but if you look a little closer, you'll notice something special. The titanium frames are actually inset into the carbon fiber scales so as you look down the spine of the knife, you only see the carbon fiber scales and bronze bolsters. There are no liners visible, which may not seem huge, but it actually is. This shows We's continued effort to put out the best knives possible and it also attributes to the thin overall form factor this knife possesses. It's a subtle feature but one that truly transforms this knife into a premium EDC piece to rival any of the best ones currently out there.
