"I first attempted to make knives by using files, and eventually bought a grizzly grinder and made some pretty simple hunters. It was not until I met Todd Begg that my knife making skills really developed through his mentorship, teaching, and patience. Todd taught me all aspects of knife making, from grinding to business and everything in between. Then Todd introduced me to Thad Buchanan. After meeting Thad he generously invited me to his house in Oregon to learn how to make Loveless style chute knives, boot knives, sub-hilts, and drop point hunters. I will always be grateful to Thad for taking the time to show me how to make these styles of knives. I am proud to call both of these men my friends. I would not have the measure of success that I have today if it were not for these two highly skilled knife makers, I would also like to thank Steve Johnson for the many answered questions, knife patterns, and all the encouragement that he graciously gave me. I have been making knives since 2007."
