Demongivert, Eric
"After training with Christian Avakian, a French knifemaker who taught me the technique of forging and introduced me to making Damascus, I installed my workshop in the heart of the Valley of the Petit Morin, 50 miles from Paris at the borders of the Champagne state.
Since 2007, I am a full time knife maker and do full handmade knives.
I mainly make the Liner-lock type folding knife because this mechanism gives me a wide range of possibilities, but in the future other systems will come out of my workshop.
I attach great importance to the accuracy of my settings and my knives' finishes, each day I work to advance in this direction.
To be a knifemaker is not simply the design of a sharp object, but a full commitment of all our senses.
All my knives are made in a unique way."
