Overview
This is a handsome and traditional piece of equipment manufactured to rigid U.S. Navy specifications originally set down in the 1929 Hull Standard Plan Drawing and cherished by Navy and commercial divers throughout the world. It has a 7" stainless steel blade with a clear Maple handle. The knife screws into the top 1/2" of the cast brass sheath using Acme threads which not only hold it securely in the sheath but also permit it to be easily and quickly removed. The upper edge of the knife blade is cut with saw teeth while the lower edge is a conventional knife edge. The belt strap is top grain leather. It is as much sought after by collectors for its unique design and appearance as by divers for its utility underwater. Has a little patina, otherwise excellent condition.
