This Hinderer XM-18 3.5" Vintage Series model features a black coated O1 steel blade and a Smooth walnut wood handle with a green/bronze titanium frame. The Rick Hinderer XM-18 3.5" Vintage is a remarkable version of the famous Hinderer XM18. For this special version Hinderer became inspired by his love for firearms. The wood that is used for the handle of weapons, combined with the classic tool steel for the blade. A Vintage edition of an incredibly modern pocket knife. A top-quality work knife. The finish is simply perfect; grip wherever you might need it and curved wherever possible. As such it feels amazing in hand. When opened the flipper will keep your hands away from the edge. As such you never have to worry about slipping during the more demanding cutting tasks. The skinner blade is made from O1 tool steel. Not stainless, but tough and easy to sharpen. With the right heat treatment it is a great type of steel to work with. In between the flipper and the edge you can find a finger choil. With it you have more control over the blade during the more detailed tasks. The stunning finish on the blade is striking. After all, the stonewashed finish has been enhanced with irregular and shiny highlights. These ensure that traces of use are hardly noticeable. In addition, it looks amazing! You easily open the XM18 with the (double) thumb studs, or with the flipper. With a small wrist movement you can easily open the blade. The knife has been enhanced with ball bearings which make sure the knife moves smoothly. However, it also comes with teflon and phosphor bronze washers. This is the Hinderer Tri-Way pivot system. When opened a solid framelock neatly keeps the blade in place. A characterizing detail here is the lockbar stabilizer. This is a round disc on the side of the titanium handle. It ensures that you cannot overstretch the lock. In addition, these Gen6 edition has been enhanced with a steel lockbar insert. You can always carry the XM-18 with you with the titanium pocket clip. This tip-down pocket clip is mounted to the right side, but with the Philips screwdriver you can easily turn it into a tip-up pocket clip. This Vintage edition is enhanced with a unique serial number, starting with a V. This one is V1422. Comes with original box and extra hardware. Excellent condition.
