Overview
This WWII Fairbairn-Sykes dagger features a double edged blade with .162" blade stock and .873" blade depth, hidden tang construction. The handle is comprised of blackend steel guard with ribbed brass handle. Includes original leather sheath with belt loop. Has scuffs, oxidation, dings and scratches, has been resharpened and reprofiled, and definitely seen use.
This knife comes from a Master Gunnery Sergeant, USMC, EOD (Retired) who got it from his father who brought it back from Europe at the end of WWII. He was in the Army-Air Corps and flew on B17 bombers during the war. In the 60's my brothers were throwing this and broke the tip off and his dad reground it and it passed to him when his father passed. "It has languished in my safe for decades and i have no one to hand it down to. I would rather see it go to someone that would take care of it"
