Knifemakers: Fred Weisenborn and Scott Meyer Fred found a passion for knives as a young boy when he bought his first Ka-Bar from the local army surplus store. As a hobby blacksmith, Fred forged his first throwing knife when he was a teenager and his passion became an art. Growing up, he was a member of BAM (Blacksmith Association of Missouri) and spent countless hours around a forge absorbing the knowledge of this fellow blacksmiths. After high school, Fred spent a summer as the resident assistant for Pennsylvania's Touchstone Center for Crafts and was able to attend classes for damascus and knife making from Mastersmiths such as Raymond Rybar Jr. He then attended Trinidad State Junior College's Gunsmith program and now works as a gunsmith in Missouri. Fred enjoys making a variety of knives, including forging ones from railroad spikes and used files. Scott is a native Missourian and has spent the majority of his life exploring the great outdoors. Scott has been hunting and fishing with his dad since he was a young boy and they have started to produce their own hunting videos. Scott works as a gunsmith, and divides his time between hunting, gunsmithing and knifemaking. As an avid outdoorsman, he brings field experience and an eye for detail to the Wulfgang team. Scott and Fred have teamed up to create high quality knives that combine a unique function and style in each knife.
