After training as a manual/CNC machinist - CAD/CAM programmer, went on to study the design and fabrication of electro/mechanical instrument prototyping, spent 5 years as a Scientific Research Instrument Maker at a Pennsylvania university, overseeing and participating in the fabrication of military funded advanced science and engineering R&D/education projects. During that time furthered studies in tool making and metal fab along with Tig/Mig/Arc welding, gaining certification. Later relocated to the Langley area of DC to work on the aerial recon/sensor deployment project for the DoD, constructed the Main Capsule and wind tunnel models for the NASA Orion mission and worked on the IDF autonomous weaponized drone projects. Returned to the Pittsburgh area to work on a DoD funded Naval vessel refurbishment project.
Retired.
Having a passion for out the front knives spent 5 years developing a unique, zero blade play, OTF mechanism that self adjusts with wear and use.
