Sucheras, Jean Pierre
At the age of 14 I learned the trade of mechanics. I began my professional life in a small family workshop where I learned tips and tricks. 30 years in the service of the Ministry of Defense trained me in the requirements of sophisticated technologies and military aeronautics. Rich in this knowledge and driven by the passion for systems and small precision mechanics, I decided in the early '90s to make my first knives. In 1991 equipped with valuable technical assistance and advice from my Canadian friend Denis Lemaire, I make and exhibit my first liner-lock. In 2004 I get my first MOF title (pocket knife category). In 2007 win a second MOF (category hunting knives). In 2009, encouraged by Charly Bennica cutler recognized in France and USA, I exhibit at the New York show. In 2010, successful entry to BAKI Boston from a selection of 25 international cutlers. In 2013, collaboration with Designer Florent Lasbleiz, we finished 9th out of 450 entries of the Liliane Bettencourt prize. In 2014, winner of the Observeur du Design 2014 label, the only French competition to benefit from the ICSID international label. Creation of an industrial knife T3 in collaboration with the company ACTILAM. Participation in the new French salon FICX Forum International Knife Contemporary.
