Flit, Aleksandr
Aleksandr Flit is a fine artist and master jeweler who received his formal training in his home country of Russia. There he attended the Baku School of Arts (Baku, Azerbaijan), and earned his degree in Fine Art. Over the years, he has accrued extensive knowledge and experience through the creation of multiple works in sculpture, interior and exterior design and his finely designed jewelry. He is a master of the ancient technique of Repoussé, a metal working technique in which a malleable metal is ornamented or shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief. One of his most prominent career achievements was serving as lead artist for the interior decor of the Tashkent Metro Station “Tinchlik”. Many of his personal artworks were created and displayed specifically for the Artists’ Fund of Uzbekistan and Russia. Aleksandr’s passion now lies in the fine art of knife making where he utilizes all of his skills and masterful techniques. This combination of skills allows him to create unique knives that are conceptually distinctive in shape, color and design and always of the highest quality and impeccable craftsmanship.
