“Every knife is finished by hand” Welcome to billbehnkeknives.com. I have been forging knives since 1984. My interest in forging began while making butt plates and trigger guards for muzzle loading guns. I like to make just about everything from “scratch” and I hand finish all of my work as I believe it gives a richer look to the final product. Look in the shop, where I am offering finished work as well as Damascus blades and tools for the individual knife maker that wishes to complete their project. I use primarily 1084 and 15n20 in my Damascus and I like to use W2 tool steel as well as other high carbon steels. I have tools to offer that aid the knifemaker in making custom knives. I make carbide file guides of three different sizes, in addition, one for the integral bolstered blades. Also radius platens and a guard installation/ attachment tool that aids in the fit and final assembly of the guard in a stick tang knife.
