"I sold my first knife in 1988. I have been interested in knives most of my life. My father was an avid outdoorsman, and taught me, at a young age, the value of a good knife. In 1988 several of the maintenance workers in the area I worked were making knives in their spare time. As I watched them my desire to make a knife increased to the point where I had to try it myself. I made several knives and sold them to friends and co-workers. A friend who was just getting into taxidermy talked me into sharing a table at some of the local shows. I sold several knives at each of these shows, which increased my desire to make knives even more. At this time I make and sell about 175 knives a year. I am a member of the Professional Knifemakers Association, the American Bladesmith Society and a past voting member of the Knifemaker's Guild "
