Clyde Cutlery Company
Photograph of the Clyde Cutlery, taken from the south side of the New York Central tracks. In 1892, the Hunter Tool Works were sold and renamed The Clyde Cutlery Co. Incorporated in 1904, at one time the business had over 200 workers on its payroll working three shifts a day. It remained in business under various owners until it proved unable to recover from a fire that destroyed the manufacturing division in July of 1970.
